Yolanda Saldivar to Be Eligible for Parole - And in New oxygen Documentary

Nearly three decades after the death of Selena Quintanilla Pérez, the woman convicted of her murder is speaking out in a new documentary.

Yolanda Saldívar, 63, has been in prison since 1995 for the killing of the iconic Mexican-American singer, known to her fans as the "Queen of Tejano" music.

As we discussed on Episode 52, Saldívar will be eligible for parole in 2025, and is sharing her story in an upcoming Oxygen docuseries, “Selena & Yolanda: The Secrets Between Them.”

We can’t guess (just kidding) What Yolanda is going to say.. But based on the preview for this new doc, we see that she is almost victim blaming? Kind of got the idea that she is clearly trying to paint herself a little better, as she is responsible for killing someone who was so beloved by such a large community of fans.

Even though we absolutely know nothing Yolanda will say with change our opinion on this horrendous lady, we are curious to see what she has to say about ending the Beautiful singers life at such a young age due to something so trivial.. and thats an understatement. Obviously if you’ve seen the movie, you know roughly what happened between Yolanda and Selena. Saldivar was the president of Selena’s fan club, and was said to have embezzled thousands of dollars from her clothing line and was subsequently fired. Clearly, shooting someone is never the answer, but we know a lot of people apparently don’t get the memo.

We think this documentary might be upsetting, because its being hinted that ‘Secrets’ about Selena that only Yolanda knew, may have resulted in her murder… she also seems to be saying that this might have been an accident, but i don’t think you have a gun in a tense meeting, let alone point it at someone in an accidental manor.. but what do we know?

Selena’s family has absolutley nothing to do with this doc, and her father, Abraham has publicly slammed Yolanda and the documentary saying that everything Yolanda says is Lies.
